About Us

The Purdue Chapter of AIChE was founded in 1929. Since then, our Chapter has grown to have over 200 General Members, as well as 50-60 members on our leadership team every semester.

Our Chapter is one of the most active chapters internationally; we have been awarded "Outstanding Student Chapter" by the National Board for nine years in a row!

Our leadership structure is composed of 10 committees, each focusing on one of our pillars: connecting students with students, industry, faculty, and the community. Learn more about our committees and their responsibilities here.

Our Values

  1. Establish professional development opportunities for chemical engineering students

  2. Foster a diverse, safe, and inclusive environment for students

  3. Expose First-Year Engineering students to the chemical engineering program and ease their transition

  4. Engage with both the local and national community through service projects and outreach events.
